A referral is not required to attend our physiotherapy practice unless you are attending under Department of Veterans Affairs, WorkCover or a Third Party Claim.

Yes, we have HICAPs Facilities in our rooms. We are able to provide on the spot processing for those who are eligible to claim a rebate from their private health insurance.

There may be a gap payment which is dependent on your level of extras cover you have with your private health insurance policy.

 

The HICAPs facility also allows the processing of Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan Claims.

 

Credit Card or EFTPOS payments are welcome. *Please note that AMEX is not accepted.*

 

  • Physiotherapy referral stating the area of injury
  • Relevant doctor's reports
  • Relevant Scans
  • Date of injury or accident
  • Insurance details including claim number, case manager and company

There is limited street parking on Montgomery Street in Kogarah.

 

There are four parking stations in the Kogarah CBD within easy walking distance:

Our physiotherapy practice is located on Montgomery Street which is only a short walk from Kogarah Station.

Please notify the practice if you need to cancel your appointment. Cancellation fees may apply if less than 24 hour notice is given.
If you are running late, please call our office to see if treatment is possible. Depending on the physiotherapist's schedule you may not be able to be seen if you are more than 5- 10 minutes late. This is to prevent other clients, who are on time, from waiting.

We accept WorkCover, DVA and Chronic Disease Management Plan Patients.

Private Health Insurance members may be eligible for a health fund rebate. Please check with your health fund for more details.

We accept cash payment or you may use our EFTPOS/credit card facilities.

If you have a referral from a doctor, please bring this with you.

Other things to consider include:

  • Xrays, CT/Ultrasound/MRI scans
  • Medication List

If you are a member of a private health fund, please bring your private health fund card.

Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing to your appointment. We have shorts and gowns available for you to change into if necessary.
During the assessment, you may be required to perform certain manoeuvres that may provoke your dizziness and may make you nauseous. If you are concerned, we recommend that you take anti-emetic medication about 30 minutes prior to your appointment.
It is also advised that you have someone else drive you home from your appointment.

Musculoskeletal Conditions
All musculoskeletal appointments are 30 minutes. However extended consultations may be required for 2 or more conditions.


Vestibular Consultations


Initial appointments are 1 hour in duration. Subsequent appointments are 30 minutes in duration.
 

Lymphoedema Consultations

Initial appointments are 90 minutes in duration. Subsequent appointments are 60 minutes in duration.

 

Men's and Women's Health Consultations

Initial appointments are 1 hour in duration. Subsequent appointments are 30 minutes in duration.

During your first consultation your physiotherapist will inform you of the number of sessions required and their frequency. This may change according to how you respond to treatment.
Physiotherapy may be partially covered by Medicare providing you have been referred by your GP under a Chronic Disease Management Plan. This plan allows you to claim a Medicare rebate for a maximum 5 services per patient per calendar. Please speak with your GP for more information and/or to see if you are entitled to this plan.
