Welcome to Equilibrium Physiotherapy

Equilibrium Physiotherapy (previously known as Chalmers O'Sullivan Physiotherapy) was first established in 1995 providing outpatient services in the Kogarah area and inpatient services to St George Private Hospital.

Equilibrium Physiotherapy is committed to providing a comprehensive, high quality service which includes thorough assessment, accurate diagnosis and effective individualised treatment.

Our highly skilled physiotherapists treat each patient, one on one, using evidence based practice to help achieve their goals, restore function and improve quality of life. We believe in hands on therapy as well as teaching self-management strategies including exercises which can be performed at home.

All our physiotherapists work closely with many GPs, Physicians and Surgeons in the area.

Our therapists also have interests in:

  • Vestibular Rehabilitation
  • Lymphoedema Management
  • Sport Injuries
  • Headaches/Migraines
  • Women's and Men's Health
Vestibular Rehabilitation commences with a detailed physiotherapy assessment.  Vestibular exercises are then individually tailored for each patient based on the initial assessment findings.
Our lymphoedema therapist is trained to provide Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) to patients affected by lymphoedema.
Women's health physiotherapy relates to assessment and treatment conditions that affect women throughout all stages of life.  In particular the child-bearing years and menopause are often associated with risk of specific conditions due to weak pelvic floor muscles
Identifying and treating movement disorders with evidenced based therapies
Fall prevention programs involve tailored exercise programs for each individual to help strengthen muscles and retrain balance
Respiratory physiotherapy is suitable for people with most respiratory conditions, especially those that require regular clearance of airway secretions or experience shortness of breath
